Towable Drill Tackles Tough Jobs
![]() |
The Towable Hydraulic Earth Drill features a Honda GX340 10.7-hp net engine delivering 19.5 lb-ft of torque. Its standard auger length is 36 in., with diameters from 1.5 to 16 in. Swapping augers is simple thanks to Little Beaver’s spring-loaded snap-on system, which requires no pins or bolts. Augers also feature replaceable, reversible blades.
“For projects in rocky soil, we offer heavy-duty augers, points and blades alongside our standard option,” says Little Beaver President Joe Haynes. “For hard clay and frozen ground, we have carbide blades so operators can drill in nearly any soil type and weather condition.”
The hydraulic drill features auger speeds up to 175 rpm and a maximum torque of 270 lb-ft. Its compact 34 in. width and 43 in. height make it easy to maneuver through gates and tight spaces, while the cantilever design and three-position handle ensure operator-friendly operation. A removable tow hitch and highway-rated tires eliminate the need for bulky transport trailers.
The Towable Earth Drills are favorites for fencing, deck building and sign installation.
“The cantilever design means you can pivot the frame into position without damaging delicate turf or landscaping,” Haynes explains. “It only requires 20 lbs of force to pivot, and the variable auger tilt allows for vertical drilling even on uneven terrain, while welded steel plate and tube construction ensure long-term durability.”
Manufactured in Livingston, Texas, and available throughout North America, Little Beaver Earth Drills can be purchased from local dealers or directly from the company.
In addition to the towable version, they offer the UN-Towable Hydraulic Earth Drill and the compact Hydraulic Earth Drill.
Pricing starts around $3,200, plus shipping, with augers priced separately. Pricing varies based on the options selected. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Little Beaver for details.
