Crosscut Saw Rig
I made a crosscut saw rig out of parts from a Gehl hay crimper, including the gearbox, V-belts, pulleys, power shaft, wheels, and even the tongue - in fact, virtually all the parts are Gehl except for the saw and arbor. The blade is 32 in. dia. Logs are placed on a tipping table. Any tractor with 25 pto hp. or more can

Crosscut Saw Rig TRACTORS Miscellaneous 15-4-35 I made a crosscut saw rig out of parts from a Gehl hay crimper, including the gearbox, V-belts, pulleys, power shaft, wheels, and even the tongue - in fact, virtually all the parts are Gehl except for the saw and arbor. The blade is 32 in. dia. Logs are placed on a tipping table. Any tractor with 25 pto hp. or more can power it. Being on wheels, it's easy to transport and store.
I also made a rip saw from an old Case chopper. I use it to sharpen fenceposts and cut small lumber. I simply removed the fly-wheel and replaced it with a saw arbor and a 30-in. dia. rip saw and a flat cutting table. I also installed a bigger drive pulley for more saw speed.
